Jessica and Stephen tied the knot at the wonderful Cottonwood Estate just south of Port Douglas on a beautiful sunny, September day. It is the perfect location for a small beachside wedding in Port Douglas, with a sprawling lawn running all the way to the sand. Just magical…..
For the Wedding Bouquets, Jessica requested something a little different for her maids so we designed a single variety flower for each of the bouquets, one from Tulips, one Sim Carnations and the third from Ranunculus. We then used all these varieties along with some additional roses and delphiniums for a mixed style garden bridal bouquet for Jessica to hold.
The Ceremony flowers consisted of a large feature piece set behind the couple. Framing the ceremony location and looking out to the tropical ocean. We intentionally kept it a little lower and ran along the ground as not to distract from the tropical beach backdrop.
The Ceremony flower were constructed in several piece which meant we could quickly and easily relocate them up to the reception dinning area at the completion of the ceremony.
At the Reception we placed the separate pieces of the ceremony installation at the ends of the guest tables and by the Champagne tower to create a “full of flowers” effect. Each of the tables had a series of alternating Bud vases and small centrepiece arrangements to give a pop of softness whilst allowing plenty of room for the shared plates to be placed along the table.
