so Who is the posy crew anyway…??

I’m Debra and I’m a Floral Designer, Floristry Teacher and all round Creative. I suppose the story of The Posy Crew began a few years back when I first moved to the rainforest covered mountains above Port Douglas. I had just sold my very busy Retail Floristry Business and wanted to take things at a much slower pace. With my husband and our 2 boys we made grand plans of renovating the old house, building vege gardens and planting massive gardens full of tropical flowers (OK they were my plans, the boys’ revolved more around motorbikes and dirt).

Lets just say that didn’t sufficiently feed my creative soul, so I started The Posy Crew. Drawing on my 20 years of Floristry experience in Retail, Events and Teaching I have set about creating a new Floral Design Business, a little Floral Wonderland for anyone that appreciates the beauty and magic of Flowers.

The Posy Crew is a place for creating one of a kind Wild and Romantic Floral statements for Weddings and Events, Educating the next generation of Floral Designer (or just sharing some flowery skills with other flower lovers) and a place to explore local handmade gifts all with a flowery focus (many of which have been created by myself here in my Rainforest studio).

I would love to share with you my knowledge and experience and help you create the most memorable Event possible or show you the skills to go about and create your very own flowery things.
