First up is the Pullman Port Douglas Beach Boardwalk. It offers excellent protection from the wind, is well-shaded, and provides a stunning beach backdrop.
Little Cove, this is one of our personal favourites. It’s sheltered from the wind, has some shade and the perfect beach backdrop, even on the low tides it still looks as pretty as a small bay. Our ceremony photos at Little Cove truly capture it’s beauty.
Rex Smeal Park is another beautiful option. It’s a large park, making it a good choice if wind is a concern. With it’s tropical vibes and large palm trees, it’s ideal for a bigger wedding.
While these may be beautiful locations and maybe there's one there that you're considering, there are some things you should consider before making them your dream location.
Starting with wind, Four mile beach can be really windy and this can reek havoc on your ceremony. Flowers never look as good when they are bombarded by 20 knot winds.
Tides are also important. Although you may have a preferred time for your wedding, it's crucial to check the tide schedule. Opting for a time when the tide is high or somewhere in between can help you avoid mud flats and ensure a picture-perfect ceremony.
